SAMPLE ITINERARY

Day 1 – Depart from United States

Day 2 – Beijing

• Arrive in Beijing
• Guide will meet guests at airport and take them to their hotel
• Family rests and unpacks

Day 3 – Beijing

• Breakfast at hotel (included in tour fees)
• Make “qi pao” (Chinese traditional dress) for children and parents in the morning (family will pay qi pao fee when there, but transportation cost included in tour fees)
• Visit the Badaling section of the Great Wall
• Traditional Beijing Roast Duck “kao ya” dinner

Day 4 – Beijing

• Breakfast at hotel (included in tour fees)
• Visit the CCCWA
  • Tour offices and take pictures for scrapbooks or life books
• Visit Summer Palace
• Visit handicraft workshop featuring Jade, Pearl, and Cloisonné
• Visit Huiling for Crafts with their residents

Day 5 – Beijing

• Breakfast at hotel (included in tour fees)
• Visit Tian-an-men Square and Forbidden City
• Silk Carpet Weaving Demonstration
• Visit Olympic Stadium (Birds Nest)
• Pick up finished Qi Pao
• Evening: Acrobatic show

Day 6 – Beijing/Guangzhou

• Breakfast at hotel (included in tour fees)
• Fly to Guangzhou
  • Province/Guangzhou: Meet local guide and travel to China Marriott Hotel
  • Visit Chen Family Ancestral Temple
  • Beijing Road in the afternoon

Day 7 – Guangzhou

• Breakfast at hotel (included in tour fees)
• Tour Baiyun Mountain. Lunch is at a local restaurant.
• Tour the Six Banyan Tree Temple
• Dinner at a local restaurant (dinner not included in tour fees)
• Pearl River Dinner Cruise: Optional (not included in tours fees and will be additional)

Day 8 – Guangzhou to Orphanage City, if applicable – leave here to go back to the US or to your exit city, if you’re not going to the orphanage city.

• Breakfast at hotel (included in tour fees)
• Travel to Orphanage Province
• Visit Civil Affairs office (not all Civil affairs offices allow visits)
• Visit local attractions
• Shopping in province capital city

Day 9 – Orphanage City Province

• Breakfast at hotel (included in tour fees)
• Travel to orphanage city
• Meet with orphanage staff and tour orphanage (note that not all orphanages allow visits)
  • Review orphanage file with orphanage staff and guide
  • Get copy of finding ad if available
  • Meet caretaker
• Visit local town and attractions
• Travel back to capital city

Day 8 or 10 – Depart for US

Our price includes:

• Expert English-speaking adoption guides who have traveled with hundreds of adoptive families
• All intra-China flights and train tickets in the itinerary
• All domestic ground transportation and tax
• One standard room
• Special cultural shows included in standard itinerary
• Hands-on crafts, Chinese Historical & Cultural Arts included in itinerary
• Sightseeing entrance fees and special events
• Daily breakfasts at the hotel (included in hotel fee), lunch and dinner meals as specified in itinerary

Our price does not include:

• One standard room with king bed or 2 full sized beds. Additional rooms or upgrades in rooms will be additional.

• Sightseeing entrance fees and special events
• Breakfasts daily, lunch and dinner meals as specified in itinerary

• Orphanage visit fee
• Orphanage province days and activities, transport and hotel (call us for a price estimate for your child’s orphanage)
